Brad Beal Elite enters next week's Peach Jam as a certified contender, and EJ Liddell is a big reason why.

We caught up with BBE's star junior swingman prior to July's big event.

We're most unselfish team on the circuit.

Nate Bucsko: How did you guys get to Peach Jam and what will it take for you to win?

EJ Liddell: We got to Peach Jam by playing team basketball. We’re going to win by keep playing the same way. Selfishness will get us nowhere. Our off the court bond helps big time.

NB: What is the strongest aspect of your game?

EL: My aggressiveness on both sides of the ball. I’ll guard any position on defense and I’ll score on any position on offense.

NB: What are you working on improving the rest of the summer?

EL: My ball handling and being very consistent on my jump shot.

NB: What are you looking for in a program at the next level?

EL: A program where I can come in and be a big factor for the team. I want to make it feel like home.

NB: How has the EYBL helped you most?

EL: Helping me grow as a person. It has taken me around the country just by playing the game I love to play. Also playing against the best players in the world.

NB: Which team or player do you most hope to face?

EL: Since I get real close to Tre Mann at NBPA top 100 I would want to play them; E1T1.

NB: What’s your favorite hobby outside of ball?

EL: Playing Fortnite.

NB: Describe the way your team plays in one sentence.

EL: The most unselfish team on the circuit.
