Boo Williams (VA) will enter the EYBL with four 5-star recruits, and they'll be led by 2018 veteran Cam Thomas. In 16 games as a sophomore, the 6-foot-3 junior averaged 19.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while shooting 90 percent from the line on 91 attempts. Thomas parlayed that success into a stellar junior campaign at powerhouse Oak Hill Academy (VA). Starring alongside 2019 top-ranked guard Cole Anthony, Thomas averaged 26.4 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.0 steals per game in 36 games for Oak Hill.

Thomas doesn't lack confidence on the offensive end, and he'll have the green light from the coaching staff as they prepare to enter the season.

We caught up with the Boo super-scorer and asked him a variety of questions surrounding his basketball career.

Q: Who is your biggest inspiration on the court and why?

Cam Thomas: Kobe Bryant because of how he scores and his mentality on the court inspires me to be great.

What's the most underrated part of your game?

CT: Passing and rebounding.

How will your experience as a player in the EYBL help you especially as a leader, and what was the main lesson you learned about the League last season?

CT: By leading by example. If I play well the team plays well. The main lesson I learned was that the league is very competitive and any team can be beaten and that's why you have to come ready to play every single game.

What's a typical workout on the court like during the spring/summer?

CT: I just get shots up; just making 300 shots and working on my moves and ball handling.

What's your favorite sport other than basketball and why?

CT: I like to watch football because I like the Patriots.

Are there any teams or players you're most looking forward to facing?

CT: No. I approach every game the same game in and game out, so it doesn't matter who I play because competition makes me better.

Outside of ball what do you see yourself doing for a career?

CT: I don't know yet. Haven't thought about it. Everything has been basketball up until now so I will give it more thought.

What are the main qualities you're looking for in a program at the next level?

CT: Coaching, Coaching, Coaching. Then style of play and how am I gonna be used.

If there's one thing about your game you want to be known to coaches and players across the country come August, what would it be?

CT: That I am more than just a scorer and shooter. I can do everything on the basketball court and I'm a competitor.
